Optical cable without armor KC-OKG

The KC-OKG cable is designed for laying in buildings, in cable ducts, when there is no danger of mechanical damage, as well as in protective polyethylene pipes by pneumatic blowing, when there is no possibility of flooding for a long time, in conditions of increased electromagnetic fields.

If the cable is used as an indoor cable, with an outer sheath made of self-extinguishing PE or PVC compound, “nf” is added to the cable marking.

Structure
  1. Optical fiber;
  2. Intramodule compound (thixotropic gel);
  3. Optical loose tube (PBT – polybutylene terephthalate);
  4. Central strength element (FRP fiberglass rod);
  5. Nonwoven fabric (vlieseline);
  6. Outer light-stabilized polyethylene sheath. In the “nf” version the outer sheath is made of a polymer that does not propagate burning when laid single.
    For cables in the “nf” version, which are flame-retardant when installed in bunches, the category of flame retardation is indicated in brackets: nf(A), nf(B), nf(C), nf(D).
    Types of the sheath according to fire hazard indicators are defined by the following indices in the identification markings:
    LS (Low Smoke) – reduced smoke emission;
    FR (Fire Resistant) – fire resistance;
    ZH (Zero Halogenic) – no halogen emission during combustion;
    HF – no emission of corrosive gaseous products during combustion and smoldering;
    LT – low toxicity of combustion products.

Manufacturing a cable using water-swellable tape as a water-blocking element is possible.
