Heat-shrinkable joining closures eks-10STT-SL-M with the use of plastic compound are used for cables with aluminum or lead sheath, with impregnated paper insulation, for 6 and 10 kV voltage.

The electric field intensity around the conductor joints is equalized using special mastics with high dielectric constant and sealed with heat-shrinkable tubes. The equalization of the electric field intensity in the cable sheath end is made with the use of special tape with high dielectric constant. The space between the conductors, as well as the space between the conductors and the sheath, is filled with plastic compound, which provides sealing of the connected conductors and blocking the oil-rosin composition, as well as the necessary resistance of the closure against shock short-circuit currents. External protection and sealing are provided by a heat-shrinkable tube with an adhesive underlayer. The closure is protected from mechanical damage by a thick-walled heat-shrinkable casing.
eks-10STT-SL-M joining closure is tested in accordance with GOST 13781.0-86.
eks-10STT-SL-M joining closures correspond to ST TOO 143-1930-10-16-26-2012 and meet the requirements of GOST 13781.0-86.
The joint always remains flexible and can be filled thanks to the plastic compound.
The eks-10STT-SL-M joining closure is designed to connect cables with an aluminum or lead sheath, with impregnated paper insulation for voltage up to 6 and 10 kV, operated at an ambient temperature from -500С to +500С, with a relative air humidity of up to 80 %, in cable structures or in the ground.
At the customer’s request, the sets can be supplied without sleeves or with sleeves for crimping for copper or aluminum conductors.
