Cable terminations rek-1KnT-V-M, rek-1KnT-VL-M for outdoor and indoor installation

Technical performance

rek-1KnT-V-M and rek-1KnT-VL-M – heat-shrinkable terminations, used for cables with plastic insulation for voltage up to 1 kV.

Termination set includes:

1. Universal lugs with breakaway head manufactured by GPH;
2. Mastic tapes;
3. Heat-shrinkable tubing and insulators;
4. Heat-shrinkable cable sleeve joint;
5. Kit for grounding armor using a solderless system, which includes a grounding wire with a lug and spring rings (only for a kit intended for armored cable);
6. Installation instructions.
   
   

Termination design

The termination design consists of heat-shrinkable parts. The cable sheath end is sealed with a heat-shrinkable sleeve joint, on the inner surface of which hot-melt adhesive is applied. The cable conductors are protected by a heat-shrinkable insulating tube, the length of which is determined during installation, in the range from 400 mm to 800 mm. The space between the lugs and the insulation of the conductors is sealed with special mastic and a heat-shrinkable tube with an adhesive layer.

In the rek-1KnT-VL-M termination, grounding outlet of the cable armor is made without soldering using spring rings and a grounding conductor with a lug.

Application

rek-1KnT-V-M and rek-1KnT-VL-M terminations for indoor and outdoor installation are designed for terminating cables with plastic insulation for voltage up to 1 kV.

Supply

At the customer’s request, the sets can be supplied without lugs or with lugs for crimping for copper or aluminum conductors.

Standard conductor termination length is 750 mm.

Testing

rek-1KnT-V-M and rek-1KnT-VL-M are tested in accordance with GOST 13781.0-86.

Characteristics

Cable terminations rek-1KnT-V-M and rek-1KnT-VL-M correspond to ST TOO 143-1930-10-16-29-2012 and meet the requirements of GOST 13781.0-86.
