In May 2018, we successfully completed testing of a range of optical cables with optical fiber with a diameter of 200 microns.
As is commonly known, until recently, the standard for most optical fibers was a diameter of 250 microns.
Developed and successfully certified optical fiber with a diameter of 200 microns allows to improve the performance of cables, reduce cable dimensions, improve reliability and service life of the cable.
This was preceded by a lot of work on the development of new optical cables with two-hundred-micron fiber.
On May 22-23, 2019, our company took part in the conference and exhibition dedicated to the issues of digitalization of railways, jointly held by “NC Kazakhstan temir zholy” JSC and “Transtelecom” JSC.
The developed design is unique and is intended for external sealing of the joints of various types of cables, including control and power cables with voltage up to 1kV, SCB and communication cables.
In 2019, the Republic of Kazakhstan launched the implementation of the State Program “Digital Kazakhstan”, whereby it is planned to provide rural settlements of the Republic of Kazakhstan with broadband access to the Internet.
In March 2019, a new machine for dyeing and labeling of optical fiber was installed at the KCEP production site.
